REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING
MINUTES
May 23, 2017

This Regular Town Board Meeting was noticed according to State Statute 19.84. Posted as required by law, news media notified. Board members present were Chairman Michael Timmons, Supervisors Corky Sheppard, Ed Richardson, Barry Seidel Jr. and Shirley Jacoby. Also present were Christine Woynich-Clerk, Road Crew Chief Michael Pockat, Evelyn J. Schneiderman-Treasurer, Kristin Kanzelberger-Deputy Clerk, Tom Handrick, Charles Rudolph, Heidi Fink, Barb Thompson, Tom Thompson, Joan Seramur, Brian Nerdahl, Sam Taylor, and George Zoch.

Chairman Timmons called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance conducted.

Motion by Sheppard to approve the agenda as presented with the order of agenda items at the Chair’s discretion, seconded by Jacoby, all members present voted aye; motion carried.

Motion by Seidel Jr.; seconded by Jacoby, to approve the minutes of the April 18, 2017 Special Town Board Meeting as well as the May 9, 2017 regular Town Board meeting as presented. All board members present voted aye; motion Carried.

WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS
None.

CORRESPONDENCE
Timmons stated that Mid Lake Road construction will be starting next week, weather permitting.

ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION/POSSIBLE ACTION

1. APRIL BILLS FOR APPROVAL
Bills were reviewed by all board members. Motion by Sheppard to approve the bills as presented, seconded by Jacoby, voice vote, all members present voted aye; motion carried.

2. OPEN, REVIEW & POSSIBLY AWARD SALT SHED BIDS
Four bids were received. Bid #1 was from Stodola Contracting Solutions Ltd for $151,748. Bid #2 was from Athens Lumber for $146,500. Bid #3 was from Lakeland Landscaping Inc. for
$103, 550. Bid #4 was from R. A. Pinno & Sons Construction, Inc. for $139, 927. Seidel Jr. motioned to take time to review the bids and postpone the possible awarding until the next board meeting, seconded by Jacoby, voice vote; motion carried. Seidel Jr. motioned to schedule a special town board meeting on May 30, 2017 at 6:00pm for the possible awarding of the bid in order to expedite the construction process, seconded by Sheppard, all members voted aye; motion carried.

3. YEAR-ROUND STORAGE OF TOWN EQUIPMENT
Pockat stated that Arbor Vitae will have room to store the sweeper this winter. Discussion followed on what pieces of equipment currently sit outside year-round. A square-footage estimate will be made on how large a storage building would have to be in order to fit all equipment in that currently sits outside. No action taken.

4. LAKELAND RETIREMENT FOUNDATION QUARTELY REPORTS AND REQUEST FOR APPROPRIATION
Brian Nerdahl provided the 2017 YTD balance sheet, 2017 YTD profit & loss and 2017 profit and loss budget overview. Nerdahl gave his report and requested $2500.00 for the budgeted first quarter appropriation. Sheppard motioned to approve and release the first quarter appropriation of $2500.00, seconded by Jacoby, voice vote, all members present voted aye; motion carried.

5. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Salt shed and storage for May 30, 2017 meeting. Fire truck and building siding.

6. PUBLIC COMMENT RELATED TO ABOVE AGENDA ITEMS
Heidi Fink stated that when she put an addition on her pole building, the addition cost more than the building of her pole building.

7. ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Sheppard to adjourn, seconded by Richardson, all members present voted aye; motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:47pm.
