REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING
MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 12, 2017

This regular town board meeting was noticed according to State Statue 19.84. Posted as required by law, news media notified. Board members present were Chairman Michael Timmons, Supervisors Corky Sheppard, Ed Richardson, Barry Seidel Jr., and Shirley Jacoby. Also present were Christine Woynich-Clerk, Evelyn Schneiderman-Treasurer, Michael Pockat-Road Crew Supervisor, George Zoch, Tom Handrick, and Dwight Olson.

Chairman Timmons called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance conducted.
Motion by Sheppard, seconded by Jacoby to approve the agenda as presented with number 6 being stricken, all members voted aye; motion carried.

Motion by Seidel Jr., seconded by Sheppard to approve the minutes of the August 22, 2017 regular town board meeting as presented, all members voted aye; motion carried.

Welcome and introduction of guests: none.

1. PUBLIC COMMENT RELATED TO BELOW AGENDA ITEMS.
None.
2. SALT SHED – SEALING CONCRETE
Richardson recommended sealing the concrete to prevent corrosion. Tom Handrick stated that the cost to seal the inside concrete would be $1,970.00. Handrick said he did not know the cost on sealing the footings. Motion by Seidel Jr., seconded by Richardson to approve the sealing of the concrete of the inside and outside not to exceed $3000 to be done on a time and materials basis, all members voted aye; motion carried.
3. POSSIBLE AMEND YEAR-ROUND WEIGHT LIMIT ORDINANCE CHAPTER 435-7
Timmons stated that the recommendation from the towns’ attorney advised against making certain exceptions to the ordinance. Timmons provided a re-written ordinance draft with the increase to 7 tons (14,000 pounds). Discussion followed. Motion by Seidel Jr., seconded by Jacoby to move the preliminary amended ordinance onto legal counsel for approval and to ensure that individuals within the limits would not be considered thru-traffic, all members voted aye; motion carried.
4. ROAD REPORT – WORK TO BE DONE YET THIS FALL
Pockat provided a list of recommended roads to have crack sealed. Pockat stated that it was too late in the year to have any work done yet this fall. List will be priority for spring. No action taken.
5. AUGUST BILLS FOR APPROVAL
Motion by Seidel Jr., seconded by Sheppard to approve the bills for August as presented for $141, 016.74, all members voted aye; motion carried.
6. REAPPLICATION OF LIQUOR LICENSE REVIEW, RENEW, APPROVE
“CLASS B” COMBINATION

Agent: Richard Geibel
Address: P. O. Box 375
This item was stricken from the agenda, no discussion and no action taken.
7. REVIEW & POSSIBLY APPROVE OPERATOR LICENSE
Motion by Sheppard, seconded by Seidel Jr. to approve the presented license, all members voted aye; motion carried.
8. REVIEW & POSSIBLY APPROVE UPDATED RENTAL CONTRACT
Woynich presented the proposed updated rental contract. Discussion followed, addition made. Motion by Sheppard to approve the revised contract as presented with the stated changes, all members voted aye; motion carried.
9. REVIEW & POSSIBLY APPROVE “APPROPRIATION REQUEST FORM”
Motion by Timmons, seconded by Richardson to approve the form as presented with the stated changes, all members voted aye; motion carried.
10. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS.
Weight limit ordinance, legality of donations given from the town, fire truck.
11. PUBLIC COMMENT RELATED TO ABOVE AGENDA ITEMS.
None.
12. ADJOURNMENT.
Motion by Richardson, seconded by Jacoby to adjourn, all members voted aye; motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:58p.m.
